Order Information

  • Measure metal tube length. (Do not include nylon bearing.)
  • Measure spiral rod length. (Make sure rod is flush with screw hole end of tube before measuring.)
  • Identify the color of the bearing (e.g., white, red or blue) and select our corresponding part number from the chart below.

Description

General Information

  • White, red and blue bearings are for sashes weighing up tp 22 lbs; green bearings are for sashes weighing up to 26 lbs; yellow bearings are for sashes weighing 26-34lbs. Consult your sales representative for ordering information.
  • The appropriate tensioning tools are 70-515 and 70-516.
  • A pre-tensioned balance whose rod length is 1-7/8″ longer than the tube is also available on a SPECIAL ORDER, NON-RETURNABLE BASIS. These are generally used by manufacturers’ specifications. Consult your sales representative for inquiries or questions. (If you have a pre-tensioned balance and want to use our standard 75 Series balance, order 1″ longer balance with a standard rod. (e.g. If your pre-tensioned balance is 30″ with red bearing, order our 75-S31R.)

Please order carefully as window balances are custom made and are non-returnable. In most cases, these balances take us about 1 week to receive before shipping to you.
